| The Town of Seekonk, in conjunction with the Seekonk Library Trust, the Library Board of Trustees, the Friends of the Library, the Conservation Committee, the Land Conservation Trust and the Recreation and Youth Commission, are implementing a plan to develop eight acres of land surrounding the library to create Seekonk’s first public park, which will be called Seekonk Meadows. The Meadows will include wildflower and native plant gardens with walkways and benches and an amphitheater for concerts and events. A play area with swings, slides, and climbing equipment has also been included in the planning. Master Gardeners will help develop educational and sustainable gardens as well as a gardening lecture series at the Seekonk Public Library. | Location is approximate |
