Hunt House was the site of the first grist, fulling, and saw mills in the area. It includes a dam, falls, and acres o park land. Four buildings date from 1740 to 1900, and the Hunt House is the East Providence Historical Society’s headquarters as well as a museum. Master Gardeners assist the Society’s volunteers in redeveloping, labeling, and maintaining heritage/native gardens to provide residents, visitors, the elderly, and the handicapped access to the natural environment. Educational lectures are provided on the second Sunday of every month at 2:00 p.m., beginning in April.
